Cabaret

Cabaret is the musical broadway production of my beloved high school here, Earl Haig Secondary School.Last night my friend and I went to watch it and in my poinion it was amazing. Most of the lead actors and actresses were majoring in Dance and theater at Earl Haig under the Claude Watson program..It's a program for talented and art students such as music, dance, paiting and ...I remember when I was choosing my courses at Earl Haig, the calender had a huge section on visual arts and fine arts and other type of artistic talent..but mostly I belonged to the academic group of Earl Haig, but being around those highly talented boys and girls, First time I went to U of T, and seeing the engineering music band, I was astoned on how horrible they sounded!!!coming from a school of talents to a university and department of geeks!!;)although I am not saying I wasn't like them, but you can see my suprize..I guess that was a big shock for me...when you come from high school to University here, your mind is open to any type of discussions, I think even high school students may be able to give better idea's than university students, since in university we become biast about certain issues..some time over analyze and forget the big picture and some times don't event see around us, just the bubble you are in seperated from the rest of the society..at least that is how university environment is for undergraduate students..but enought about that..Now about CABARET:)it's a story of a few lives during the formation of Nazi's in Germany..and how political change in a country could change path of people's life...the message of this play and act for me was that you can try to ignore the government and say you are not interested in politics..but as they said in the play if you don't say anything it means you are not appose to the group..I think the timiming of the play could have been better if it was before Canadian election..I think this play really encouraged everyone to go and vote..The voices, singing, make up, costumes, the band, lighting, sound system and finally the boys and girls all looked great..I was showing my friend around the school and kept missing the time I had in this beautiful school;)at the end we sort of was nearly got caught by the gentor;)he was asking why were in the second floor..since we were not suppose to..I could have gone on and explain that I am an alumni of Haig and showing my friend around but I knew it would drag along!!so just said we are lost..It wasn't really a lie either since we kind of didn't know where we were going after that..needed direction!!Earl Haig is a very big school and you can easily get lost in it;)anyways I enjoyed the night and alot of fun memorries surfaced last night:)miss you Earl Haig and love you.

Gone from reality to fantacy..yoyoing in between..which one can you depend..can fantacies becomer reality?...its like the La La music of Ashlee Simpson...it's like watching the Apartment movie...it's like...it's like...you want the time to stop and and everything freez..but then you realize that the world goes on anyways...it's like being out of this world..losing control for a second..and you can be in B-state of your mind...like meditating...detached from this world and everything in it...
